If you are looking for functional cat furniture, yet want to make a real artistic statement in your home, this furniture is for you. The Sculptured Line of cat furniture is stunningly gorgeous. Our pictures simply do not do these pieces justice.

Like all our furniture, this line is individually handcrafted and made one at a time. However, this line goes beyond just saying that it is handcrafted. Each sculptured tree involves many, many hours of creative design and artistic handwork.

First, a solid wood frame is built using the best carpentry techniques. Then the wood frame is completely carpeted with high quality plush carpet. But the carpeting technique is not the same flat type of carpet application used in the other product lines. A special, folded type of carpet application is used that takes a lot longer to apply than the flat style. We describe this folded carpet as a sculptured, 3 dimensional look. Hence the name for this product line – Sculptured.

Finally, an intricate decorative motif is applied over flat stretches of carpet on house walls, cabins and pueblos. It takes plenty of time to artistically attach all the carpet pieces that make up the motifs.

The decorative motifs and the special sculptured, 3 dimensional look are absolutely beautiful. That explains why several of these pieces have ended up in art galleries. These products have been featured in magazines, newspapers and TV shows. But these models are not only beautiful works of art, they are fully functional cat furniture. They have large bases for stability, full-size leaves for climbing, and cut-outs where necessary to jump onto the big top leaves.

Don’t be fooled by imitations! We’ve seen several copy-cat models in pet stores and catalogs, and we can’t emphasize enough that those models FALL FAR SHORT of our Sculptured Line. Here are just a few points about copy-cats:

1. they are not as cat friendly;
2. the lower leaves are too small and sloped downward giving cats no flat places to rest;
3. bases are not as big so the trees are less stable;
4. the carpet is of a lower quality, and less padding is used; and
5. the decorative motifs are not as color coordinated, artistic or expertly applied.
