While carpet on posts will wear out, the wood posts will last indefinitely. The Rustic line offers many safety features and options, including:

• Each tree is well-balanced and virtually tip-proof by even the largest cats.
• Every Rustic tree comes standard with solid wood posts with the bark on. As an option, you can cover one or more solid wood posts with carpet or sisal rope.
• Staggered stair-step placement of components provides a safe way to climb up and down.
• Structure and individual components will support 200 lbs. of weight.
• Curved perches increase comfort and ensure your cats won't fall off.
• All enclosures (pagodas, tunnels, houses) have 2 or more escape routes to avoid entrapment.
• All enclosures and their entrances are big enough for cats up to 24 pounds!
• Finally, you can even select two carpet colors.

We use special non-removable staples to attach carpet, because it is more effective than glue. Because cats can scratch and pull heavily on carpet, using non-removable staples is the best way to attach carpet.
