Important Notes About Carpet ColorsWe do not guarantee exact color matches to the plush carpet colors pictured above for two reasons:
The colors shown are provided to give you a general idea of what we mean by off-white, beige, gray, etc. They are also meant to illustrate what we mean by light, medium and dark shades of a particular color (i.e., light, medium and dark blue). The carpet color(s) on your tree will most likely vary from the shades shown. You may choose any of the colors listed in the table, or refer to a color(s) in one of the photos on this site or in our printed catalog. We will try to match those colors as closely as possible. Alternatively, you may send us a color swatch and we will match it as closely as possible. |
About the Carpet WeavesDescriptions of the look and durability of the different carpet weaves, as well as the scratching habits of various cat breeds, are provided below. This information can help you select the right carpeting for your tree. |
| Carpet Weave | Appearance | Durability | Scratching Habits |
| Plush | very attractive | good | light to medium scratching |
| Berber |
very attractive rarely is carpet one solid color -- it has flecks of colors |
very good | medium to frequent scratching |

The cut edge of Berber carpet can pull, just like fabric when it is cut.
If you or your cats pull on a loose strand, it will continue to pull. To prevent the strand
from pulling out farther, trim it with scissors and apply heat to it with an iron. Then
take your fingers and squeeze the area together to meld the heated fibers. This will prevent
the area from continuing to pull.
Berber carpet may show some of the indentation marks from the staples
more than Plush carpet. You will not see the heads of the staples, just the little
"dit" marks where the staples enter the carpet. These marks tend to fade with
time.
If either of these disadvantages concerns you, you should choose all Plush carpeting for
your furniture.
Note: Furniture cannot be returned because the carpet has
developed pulls or if you are unhappy with the way the staple marks are showing.
Although we use good-quality carpet, we do not warranty wear and tear to carpeting.
